River City Youth Foundation recently launched its Skill Saturdays program as part of the #LearnInATX campaign. Parents and youth learned about how the world is changing due to rapid advancements in technology including artificial intelligence and automation. They took the first steps to reskill and gain job security in the future.
What did Skill Saturday participants learn?
* Parents and youth had an opportunity to participate in demos and trainings on cybersecurity, coding, communication and customer service.
* Families learned how tech and soft skills are evolving and becoming more important in the current digital revolution.
* The launch event took place in southeast Austin's Dove Springs community.
* River City Youth Foundation thanks LCRA, the presenting sponsor of the Skill Saturdays launch.
