For more than 30 years, River City Youth Foundation has been one of the lucky charities selected to host a food booth at the iconic Eeyore's Birthday event held at Pease Park in Austin, Texas. As this annual gathering approaches, we are extending an invitation to join us in our mission to create memorable experiences and raise funds for our summer camps for underserved youth in southeast Austin.
Eeyore's Birthday is a time-honored tradition in Austin and attracts people from all walks of life to celebrate Eeyore, the beloved character from A.A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh series, and indulge in a day of fun, music, and delicious food.
At our booth, we will be serving mouth-watering chalupas and refreshing strawberry, watermelon, and lemon aqua frescas to the attendees. The proceeds from our sales will go directly towards supporting our summer camp programs. These camps provide life-changing opportunities for the children in our community, offering them a safe and nurturing environment to learn, grow, and create lasting friendships.
However, we cannot do this alone. We need your help! We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to assist us in running our food booth and handling related tasks during the event. No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to lend a hand and have fun while making a real impact on the lives of the children we serve.
By volunteering with us, you will not only be contributing to a wonderful cause, but you will also be joining a tight-knit community of compassionate individuals who share a common goal: to make a difference in the lives of the children who need it most. Together, we can create lasting memories for both the attendees of Eeyore's Birthday and the children benefiting from our summer camps.
Are you ready to be part of our amazing team? If so, please reach out to us for more information on how you can help make this year's Eeyore's Birthday fundraiser an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. Let's join hands and continue our tradition of making a difference in our community!
