The stars were lit, the trees were bright, and there was such a wonderful spirit of joy and peace that filled the evening celebration for RCYF's 25th Annual Merry Memories event.
More than 200 volunteers united from schools, churches, neighborhoods, businesses, civic organizations, and city departments to host an unforgettable production that included a musical walking path filled with words of hope and blessings for families of southeast Austin's Dove Springs community.
The event featured a Posada Christmas play, a toy giveaway, a bike raffle, holiday choruses and performers, and a special hot meal distribution. More than 70 bikes were won by families.
